About Us

OUR HISTORY

In August of 2011, a small group of men from Celebrate Recovery at Crossroads Church came together to serve the homeless community of Loveland, Colorado.  Celebrate Recovery is a world wide program that offers healing from any hurt, habit, hangup, or addictions we experience being human.
The original intent was for 2 or 3 volunteers to convene 1 night a week at Lovelands homeless resource center, to bring a CR meeting to any man that was interested in discovering and exploring God's healing power of redemption through a Christ centered twelve step recovery program.
With no idea of how our group would be received, we met that first night.  We cooked burgers and brats on the grill and fed the people present at the shelter.  That's how we began a journey of fellowship and friendship with the less fortunate in Loveland.

Disciples Ministry's Goal

God has blessed our ministry abundantly.  Over the years, the Lord has provided men, women, & children to prepare & serve meals, lead women’s Bible study groups, facilitate men’s share groups, provide shelter & offer recovery services.  Currently, we provide support to local at-risk teens & families.  We provide that support through the help of local business owners, individuals, and through our fundraising efforts through various events.  We have been blessed to witness God’s love in changing lives and renewing spirits.

Mission Statement

Connecting God’s Resources with our Communities needs.

Vision Statement

Our vision is to give those in need a hand up rather than a hand out.  The focus will be on emergency services, including referrals to rehabilitation, transitional programs, and community outreach.  Resources utilized will include application of biblical principles and engaging partnerships with donors and volunteers.

Disciples Ministry's Values

  • We will honor and treat one another as equals

  • All victories are for the glory of God, not for us.

  • We can do all things through Christ Who gives us strength.

  • We respect the fact that we are human and will make mistakes.

  • We will strive to help others by encouraging and equipping, not enabling.
